essentials of arts management
Essentials of Arts Management is designed for first time arts managers and more experienced people working in all kinds of arts and cultural organisations and agencies. Whether you are new to the field, preparing the ground for your next job or an experienced manager looking to update and consolidate your knowledge this might just be what you are looking for.
Essentials of Arts Management is a structured programme that covers the essential core skills you need in a timescale you can manage. It involves an introductory day and final day, which look at current issues in arts management, evaluation as well as communication and presentation skills for arts managers, and four two-day modules on legal issues in the arts, marketing, financial management and working with people. The total of 10 days take place between October and March.
This successful programme has now been running since 1995. The highly experienced tutor team is Madeline Hutchins, Sally Anne Lowe, Maureen McCulloch and Janet Summerton.
You would be part of a group of up to 18 people, enabling you to focus on your own learning, engage in lively discussion with peers and make the most of the contact with the tutors.
And whether you are new to the field, preparing the ground for your next job or an experienced manager looking to update and consolidate your knowledge this might be just what you are looking for.
